Home Made Biscuit Mix

1 cup AP flour

1/2 tsp salt

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 cup powdered milk

1 TB Crisco

Refrigerate

Whiz ingredients together in a food processor/chopper. HOME MADE BISQUICK! The flour will coat the Crisco and it will not be greasy or messy. Best biscuits ever! The homogenized shortening gives the biscuits great texture and mouth feel.

Not too much powdered milk or it will pick up that icky-sweet powdered-milk flavor.

Add water? How much?

Thanks

I recommend Nido Fortificada powdered milk. None of that icky powdered milk flavor or smell. You'll often find it in the Hispanic section of grocery stores.

I have a similar recipe and love it for these sausage biscuits I make. I second the recommendation for Nido whole milk powder. It’s so good!
